Diana & Brett’s Glam Hall of Mirrors Wedding

Diana and Brett’s wedding day was by far and away the greatest day of their lives! Thinking of all those who had traveled from near and far to be with them was very heartwarming. Because of COVID and school, Diana had not been able to see her grandmother who lives in London since 2013 so to see her again after all that time was such a special moment. Throughout their big day, they listened to some really good speeches, caught up with old friends, and danced the night away–all captured by the wonderful Lauren Day Photography. Every detail was perfect and highly personal, which is one of many reasons why this was the best day! Keep reading to hear us catch up with this sweet couple.

“We definitely could not have had the wedding we did without our wonderful vendor team as well as family and friends who deserve the highest accolades! A special thanks to Yellow Canary for making my dreamy hydrangea wedding dreams come true.”

Tell us a little about your wedding style.

We always knew we would have a big wedding due to our large families as well as wanting to have an unforgettable night. Our motto was go big or go home in many ways. With that being said, we desired a grand, formal wedding since we had so many people coming from out of town. As corny as it sounds, since I was young I always wanted to feel like a princess on my wedding day so something formal, fancy, and involving a ballroom would do just that. I also know how much easier it is for guests to celebrate and stay in the same location for the reception since many were not from the area, therefore having the reception at a reputable hotel venue was a must.

Describe your wedding vision.

Glam, stunning, and romantic! We loved that the Hall of Mirrors delivered on each one of these and was one of many reasons why we picked this venue. Also, since we always knew we wanted a large, grand wedding, we felt something glam would best accomplish this vision. As for color scheme, I would always say it’s ‘hydrangea aka blues and purples’. My favorite color has always been blue. Living in New England before the wedding also gave me a finer appreciation for hydrangeas. I just love how full and unique they look along with the wide range of colors they come in. Hydrangeas thrive in the summer and I knew they would look incredible that time of year in my bouquet. It reminds me of summer (my favorite time of year) and my roots in a way. Plus, blue can easily be incorporated into a formal look.
