Liz and Hunter wanted a classic, elegant wedding celebration with a focus on florals. The wedding ceremony and reception took place in Cincinnati’s Hall of Mirrors, a traditional venue with heavy geometrical lines and art deco elements. Liz wanted to bring a lighter feel to the strong angles using light, papery flowers, lots of greenery, soft blush blooms to create a loose, natural style. We incorporated peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, eucalyptus and darker greens like Italian ruscus.
We created a meadow style ceremony semi-circle as a different way to bring in texture in a natural way to juxtapose against the traditional look. For the reception, we moved the meadow in front of the stage for dancing.
Spring, light, airy florals in white with hints of pink and greenery flanked the aisle and ceremony altar. A mix of tall and short arrangements paired with soft linens and warm votives created a romantic mood at the reception.
