Gratz Park is one of the most beautiful, and historic neighborhoods in Lexington. Cobblestone walkways lined with towering hedges, rod iron fences, and tree-shaded boulevards have aged well over the 200 years since the park’s establishment in the late 1700s.
The bride wore a classic Monique Lhuillier ballgown with a sweetheart neckline and lace bodice. Lace detailing carried through to her asymmetrical overskirt with layers of airy tulle. Her white and blush bouquet of garden roses and frilly peonies was the perfect floral accompaniment.
The ceremony and reception took place in one of our favorite Lexington venues, The Apiary. Every detail of The Apiary has been thoughtfully designed. Guests enter into a lush garden through a custom wrought iron gate crafted by local artisan metalworkers. The couple were married in the garden under a custom floral chandelier. The reception was held in the dining room, called the Orangerie, which is a dream of natural light pouring in through 18 foot tall windows. Tables were set with a mix of tall and short centerpieces, lots of candles, and greenery runners. White and blush florals and mixed foliage created an utterly romantic garden wedding.
