Kristin & Jonathan’s wedding was a beautiful, elegant garden style wedding celebration at Cincinnati’s Ault Park. The park is one of the most beautiful and sought after wedding venues in the region. Tree lined sidewalks, carefully planted and tended garden beds, and Italianate style Grand Pavilion built in 1930 make it a romantic urban destination.
Ault Park’s Grand Pavilion’s perfectly proportioned arches frame panoramic views of its wide, impressive gardens and lawns. A cascading fountain of water streams down between two broad sets of stairs, the sound of flowing water a subtle delight.
Kristin and Jonathan’s wedding ceremony took place under a wooden arbor covered in vine and flower. The reception was light filled, with fabric, flowers, and candles in pale shades of pink, cream and white. Sunlight reflected and refracted throughout every nook and cranny of stone.
Gold chiavari chairs, bright white translucent draping and cafe lights hung like low clouds extending the guest seating to the overlook areas. Long tables were set with runners of greenery that ran the length of tables with floral sprays of fragrant roses at the center – a unique departure from vessels and vases. Tall glass candles and small amber votives added a warm glow to the afternoon.
