The chapel at St. Ursula Academy in Cincinnati’s East Walnut Hills is one of the city’s hidden treasures. Built in the early 20th century it is an inviting, cozy chapel with bright white broad ceiling arches and chancel walls painted a cool turquoise blue. The bride wanted vibrant colors to radiate and create contrast with the white architectural elements and altar. We created large focal arrangements in high glass vessels for the altar using delphinium, larkspur and the ruffly lisianthus whose texture offers wonderful versatility.
The bride and her bridesmaid’s carried bouquets with the same vibrant florals including the tiny clusters of wax flowers, roses and lots of intricately patterned star gazer lilies. The variation in flower colors – from rich purple to magenta to chartreuse were a perfect compliment to the claret and smoky silver gowns.
